Penultimate week, Globacom top shot, and close associate of Otunba Mike Adenuga of Globacom, Mr. Niyi Adewunmi and his lovely wife Deaconess Grace Olufunke Adewunmi gave out the hand of their beautiful daughter, Olushola Omowunmi Naomi to her sweetheart, Akinyemi Temitayo Adebowale, the son of late Mr. Gabriel Akinade and Mrs Florence Alake Laditi at an Engagement ceremony, befitting of a Princess.
It was held at Leisure Gardens, Water Front Opposite Wole Olateju Crescent, Off Admiralty Road, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos, the white wedding took place on Saturday 24th October, 2009 at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David Parish, Dideolu Estate Off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island with the reception following immediately at British International School, 1, Landbridge Avenue, Oniru Private Estate, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The beautiful bride Olusola is the first daughter of Globacom top shot and one of the directors of equatorial Trust bank, Mr. Emmanuel Oluwaniyi Adewumi and Deaconess Grace Olufunke Adewunmi, the beautiful ebony skinned lady who runs touch of glamour, an upscale beauty parlour situated in Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island, Lagos has a degree in Mass Communication from Harold University United Kingdom. The handsome groom who is from Ibadan, Oyo State is Akinyemi Temitayo Adebowale Laditi, who came back from the United States about a year and half ago. He is the son of late Mr. Gabriel Akinade and Mrs. Florence Alake Laditi. He owns an outfit, called Liberty Digital Media which he runs with his brother Akinade Laditi Junior. He also owns Naija House the newest eatery on Ligali Ayorinde, Victoria Island. He had had experience in fast food business as a staff of Macdonald’s in the United States before setting up the eatery.
A white eye popping Paragon Hummer Limousine brought the groom and his groomsmen to church but he later joined his bride in the Range Rover Sports that brought her to church while the bridal train had the pleasure of the ride to themselves all the way to the venue. A little commotion was caused when passersby gaped at the wonder on wheels.
The groom and his train thrilled everyone with their special Indian outfit which is called the sherwani, the sherwani is an traditional Indian men’s wear it can be can be described as a long jacket worn by men, which reaches down to the knees or might even go lower. It is somewhat similar to a coat and has long sleeves. Buttoned in front-middle, with a Nehru-style collar. The groom and the groomsmen wore this outfit which was light gold and embroidered with matching thread with a wine coloured inner called a ‘kurta’, with the groom adding a matching gold stole to his own outfit to differentiate it.
